Shift: 2nd shift 3pm – 11:30pm Monday – Friday 

Salary: $20.00+ per hour (based on experience)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Powder Coating Technician with specific expertise in dry/solid film lubricants, conveyorized paint lines, and various specialized coatings. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in prime paint applications, including epoxy, polyurethane, enamel, CARC, metallic, ceramic (Sermatel), permanent resin, Teflon (PTFE), and controlled atmosphere curing. This role requires strong attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to ensure that products meet high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare metal surfaces for coating, including cleaning, masking, and sanding.

  • Apply a variety of coatings, such as dry/solid film lubricants, epoxy, polyurethane, enamel, and more, ensuring consistency and quality.

  • Operate and maintain conveyorized paint lines and powder coating equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards.

  • Work with specialized coatings like Teflon (PTFE), ceramic (Sermatel), and other materials requiring controlled atmosphere curing.

  • Inspect finished products for quality, checking for proper thickness, finish, and adherence to specifications.

  • Perform touch-ups, rework, and troubleshoot coating issues as necessary.

  • Follow strict safety procedures and maintain an organized, clean workspace.


Qualifications:

  • Required experience in the application of dry/solid film lubricants and working with conveyorized paint lines.

  • Proficiency in applying various coatings, including epoxy, polyurethane, enamel, CARC, metallic, ceramic (Sermatel), permanent resin, and Teflon (PTFE).

  • Knowledge of controlled atmosphere curing processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and production schedules.

  • Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.


Work Environment:
This position involves working in a production facility with exposure to powders, chemicals, and moving machinery. Proper protective equipment will be provided.
