MACHINIST/MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER
Location: Itasca, IL
Schedule: Monday through Friday – 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay: $27.00 to $32.00 (overtime available)
Employment Type: Temp to Hire / Direct Hire

Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Machinist/Mechanical Assembler to help assemble components and test custom designed capital equipment using various tools and equipment.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Versatile and experienced with general metalworking machines such as horizontal bar, lathes, and vertical milling machines to produce parts from CAD drawings and sketches
- Skilled using various micrometers and precision gauges to ensure accuracy
- Proficient in machine assembly with the ability to identify problems and develop solutions
- Willing to seek additional information from others when needed
- Diligent, quality focused, efficient, and meticulous
- Self-starter who also knows how to work well within a team
- You are a fit for our client’s team if you are focused on getting things done right and on time.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 -5 years relevant work experience; machining, assembly of equipment, fabrication
- Able to work standing for 8 to 10 hours in shop conditions
- Responsible to provide own basic hand/machinist tools
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Driver’s license required
Compensation and Benefits once hired by client and becoming eligible:
