BLENDING OPERATOR
LOCATION: WOOD DALE, IL
TYPE: TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT – 30 TO 60 DAYS
PAY: $20 TO $24 PER HOUR
SHIFT: MONDAY THRU FRIDAY – 8:00AM TO 4:30PM

Job purpose
The Blending Operator is responsible for operating batch chemical blend processing systems according to batch record instructions in a safe, efficient, and clean manner.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist chemical batch lead maker in pouring down batches into smaller containers and label as appropriate
- Must be able to read a formula, obtain special raw materials and properly blend batches per specific formula
- Operate blending equipment to mix ingredients according to specified formulas and procedures
- Monitor blending process to ensure proper mixing and consistency
- Perform quality checks on blended products to ensure they meet specifications
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Maintain accurate records of production data and inventory levels
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize blending processes
Qualifications
The minimum qualifications required to successfully perform this job include:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing or production environment preferred
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds on a regular basis
Knowledge of the proper handling of various chemicals including the use of the appropriate PPE a must
Strong work ethic
Must speak, read, and write English
Proficient in warehouse operations, including materials handling and inventory management
Forklift Experience a Plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Physical requirements
Physical demands are moderate with the ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly. Employees are also required to wear the appropriate personal protective gear up to and including a respirator depending upon the materials being used.
