Job Summary
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is responsible for moving, stocking, organizing, and preparing materials throughout the facility while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments
- Prepare and package outgoing orders accurately and on time
- Operate forklift (5%–10% of the time) and pallet jack to load/unload materials from trucks
- Create bales of scrap paper
- Perform light product assembly tasks according to specifications
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces in shipping and production areas
- Keep accurate inventory and shipment records
- Wrap pallets for shipment
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
Requirements
- Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift experience required (certification is a plus)
- Experience operating pallet jacks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and reach throughout an 8-hour shift
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English (Spanish is a plus)
