QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR UNLICENSED

Location: Wood Dale, IL
Type: Temp to Hire
Shift: Monday thru Friday: 7:30am to 4:00pm
Requirements: Resume / Interview / Drug Test / Background Check / Authorized to work in the United States
Pay: $19.00

SUMMARY:
Perform inspection of aircraft engine parts, articles and components to ensure product quality in accordance with the client's Quality Management System to meet all current regulatory requirements and to meet or exceed customers' requirements. Work as a team member with peers/lead/supervisor/manager on development, deployment and execution of Quality/Inspection department/work center related metrics

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+Process incoming and outgoing material to meet the client’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Customer Requirements
+Follow FAA and DoD Regulatory guidance to establish sufficient traceability of products being inspected to help prevent the introduction of counterfeit and suspected unapproved parts into the client’s inventory and/or their customer's inventory
+Inspector will be required to have a basic understanding of product certification from the Production Approval Holder and certification relative to products for return to service (airworthiness)
+nspection of product can include but is not limited to document review, visual inspection, packaging, shelf life, life limited records, materials subject to electrostatic discharge (ESD), etc.
+Inspector may be required to review technical/regulatory data which may include but not limited to Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, FM Order, Code of Federal Regulations, etc.
+Inspector may be required to use calibrated measurement/test equipment that can include but is not limited to digital micrometers, pin gages, digital height gages, digital calipers, etc.
+Ensuring that all work is performed / inspected to Purchase Order instructions, Repair Order instructions, Customer instructions, appropriate specifications and standards, etc.
+Inspector must be flexible and may be required to assist within the client’s Commercial Quality Business Unit and the client’s Defense Distribution Business Unit
+All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
+Computer experience; ability to learn client’s ERP software system
+Ability to compare pieces and detect discrepancies, inspect paperwork and match part numbers accurately.
+Previous experience with measuring tools; micrometers, pin gages, digital height gages, calipers, etc.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
+High school diploma or general education degree, GED, required.
+Must have a minimum of 1-year related experience and or training

+Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional warehouse environment.
+Employee may be required to use a forklift, and employee may be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.
+Employee may be required to work overtime as needed, work weekends and be willing to travel.
